News from Carey (Ramming) & Pete Hahn

It’s fun to see news from everyone on this blog.. this is my first time blogging, ever. After college I moved to Chicago for 6 years and worked at the Museum of Contemporary Art and later, the Newberry Library. After that I returned to CT, ran into Peter Hahn and we started dating. We got married in 2000 and have lived in Rowayton ever since. I work for UBS doing client business management in Equities and Peter does institutional sales for Cargill Investor Services. We don’t have any children yet which must be why everyone feels so free to let loose when they come over.

Astrid and Scott Peters live around the corner from us and it's been fun seeing them this past year. I've also been in touch with Amy Schlactenhaufen who moved to Fairfield from Seattle about a year ago with her husband and daughter. We frequently run into Virginia Grady and her husband (Mike Purcell '85) and daughter who live in Rowayton and are always out walking too. We also see Ned Steinkraus (married with three kids), Chris Knight (class of ’86?, married with two kids), and Sandy Garnett (class of ’88--now a very successful artist living in SoNo--see website http://www.sandygarnett.com/pages/news.html).

Last week I just ran into Lawrence Story who looks well and happy and lives in Darien I think. Also living in Rowayton to my knowledge is Coco Dean who used to live in the apartment below us back in 2000. We are in touch with a bunch of people that didn't go to the high school but are from the area that some DHS people might know (Bruce Ferguson, Keiley Gaston, Alex and Clute Ely, Adrian Burke...) We went on two fabulous vacations with Wouter and Annette Goedkoop pre babies -- first skiing in Aspen and then chartering a sailboat in Corsica. We hope they will be ready to hook up for another exotic vacation when the new baby dust settles for them. I'll try to make it to the next reunion, whenever that is!

Here are some pics: Me and Peter at a recent 70s party, and the two of us with Wouter & Annette in Corsica.
